Why do we have more than the RDA? Because the sun pretty much has a monopoly on vitamin D it is difficult to top up your daily requirement with food (especially as a vegan). This is why many black women living in colder climates are deficient. We modified the dosage to suit black women’s needs of  5-10x more than fairer skinned women.
